6640MPS: Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, Managing Projects: Review Course for Exam 70-633

Course Description:
Students use Microsoft Office Project Server in this advanced workshop to review 70-633 exam topics with emphasis on advanced capabilities and features new to Project Server 2007. Students should have prior experience with Project Server 2003 or 2007; including the ability to build, maintain, and control well-formed projects. A course manual will be provided.  The course also includes an overview of the exam process and sample exam questions.

Students will have the opportunity to take the 70-633 exam onsite immediately after the review. The exam is a separate fee of $125 that must be paid onsite the day of the exam.  As a Prometric testing center, we can get you registered for the exam, accept payment and discount vouchers, and sign you up for a free retake if the offer is currently available from Microsoft.

Prerequisites:
5927A: Managing Projects with Microsoft Office Project Standard 2007, 5928A: Managing Projects with Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, or similar experience.

Intended Audience:

• Individuals who are required to use Microsoft Project Server to create and manage web-based projects
• Individuals who use Microsoft Project Server to plan, manage and report on enterprise resources or participate in the staffing and management of web-based resource plans
• Individuals who plan to take the 70-633 Microsoft certification titled Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, Managing Projects
• Individuals who use Microsoft Project Server in their role as project manager, resource manager, project scheduler, program manager, portfolio manager, or a similar role

Course Objectives:
In this course, students will review Project Server capabilities within the following topic areas:

• Initiate projects using Proposals and Activity Plans
• Build resource plans for enterprise and web-based projects
• Plan time and resources
• Manage resource capacity
• Distribute information to project stakeholders
• Understand and participate in the timesheet approval cycle
• Use Project Web Access to manage and report on projects and resources
• Manage issues, risks and deliverables
• Create, save and update enterprise templates

At the end of this review course, you are ready to take the exam:

• As a Prometric Testing Center, PM Resource Group can get you registered for the Microsoft 70-633 exam and deliver the exam onsite immediately after the review
• Additional $125 exam fee (must be paid onsite with a credit card)
• Occasionally Microsoft offers free retakes on exams. If one is being offered, we will register you for it before you take the exam.
