Course Description:
Students use Microsoft Windows SharePoint
Services sites and related enterprise components in this
advanced workshop to manage project and non-project related
information. Students learn to create, add and customize
web parts as well as create and maintain document libraries,
manage versioning, and create surveys, discussion forums and contact lists.

5928A:
Managing Projects with Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007 or similar experience.

This course is designed for:
- Individuals who want to increase their SharePoint
expertise to improve team collaboration, manage
project-related or non-project documents, issues and risks
- Project managers responsible to maintain SharePoint
sites related to their enterprise projects who want to know
how to customize and manage the sites
Course Objectives:
In this course, students will learn how to:
- Manage project-related WSS sites
- Create and manage shared documents, with check-out procedures and version control
- Manage document library, list, survey and site permissions and templates
- Modify default list columns (fields), properties and views
- Export SharePoint information to Microsoft Office Excel
- Create surveys (with branching) and analyze survey results
- Setup lists for content approval
- Manage site administration and site settings
- View SharePoint information in Microsoft Office Outlook
